CfA - MAEIS Master - Mediterranean studies - Advanced European and International Studies [EXTENDED]
The one-year Master in Advanced European and International Studies - Mediterranean studies branch is targeted at students who have completed their undergraduate studies. The programme is bilingual and taught in english and french. Its objective is to give an overarching, encompassing vision of the political, social, economic, and cultural challenges of today’s world. The Master’s programme follows an original approach which distinguishes it from other Master’s courses in European Studies and International Relations: The MAEIS is an international, interdisciplinary and itinerant programme which aims to educate the next generation of EuroMediterranean decision-makers. Following the slogan “Learning and living the Mediterranean”, the participants rotate each trimester, moving their place of studies from Nice to Tunis and then to Istanbul. A study trop to Rome will also be organized and students will visit relevant UN institutions where they will follow conferences.

- Conflict Management and Peacemaking
- Sustainable Development and Globalisation
- Regional Integration and Transformation
- Mediterranean Politics and Societies
- Professional Skills Workshops

The CIFE (Centre international de Formation Européenne), invites graduates students to apply for its programmes in Advanced European and International Studies at the Institut européen·European Institute (IE·EI), an international teaching and research institute in Nice.
CIFE provides excellent academic teaching at the crossroads of theory and practice. It is one of the six institutions of excellence to receive an operating grant from the EU under the ‘Jean Monnet Activities’ of the Erasmus+ programme.
Entry Requirements
This interdisciplinary graduate programme is aimed at students who have already completed a first degree (minimum three years of study at university level). Furthermore, students must have an active knowledge of English and French.
The application dossier must be accompanied by the following documents:
- Motivation letter
- Curriculum Vitae
- Passport-size photograph
- Copies of university diplomas and transcripts of records (with an official translation if not in French or English)
- List and summary of research papers written during your studies (maximum 3 pages)
- Two reference letters
- Documents certifying adequate knowledge of the required languages

Fees and Founding : A limited number of scholarships can be awarded to particularly qualified candidates who are not able to cover the cost of their studies and stay. The application is open to candidates of all nationalities.
