Human Capital constitutes a valuable factor in the process of economic, political and social transformation. The economic challenges of the past years have revealed a need for policy actors, namely states, stakeholders, civil society, academia, to go beyond the classical perception of economic growth and to focus more on the empowerment of human capital as key element for achieving sustainable development. The adoption of a human-centered action plan and the investment on human resources, and in particular on women and the youth, will create favourable conditions for economic and social stability that, in the long term, will result in development and sustainability.
Welcome address will be delivered by Ms. Vaso Kollia,
Secretary General for Gender Equality of the Hellenic Ministry of Interior.
