Horizon 2020 is the new European Framework Programme for Research (RTI) which follows on from the 7^th Framework Programme. It will build on and further advance the work of the successor programmes and will provide support to the entire range of research and innovation activities from fundamental sciences to industrial sciences. Additionally, it will support the transfer of research into specific innovation activities, including mission-oriented research tackling the grand challenges of our future.

This November Conference in Prishtina will explain the structure of the programme, its mission and the rules of participation and the opportunities the programme will provide. The Conference will inform participants about the support from Kosovo* and European support measures to facilitate the participation in Horizon 2020. In the afternoon, space for participants to meet in smaller sectoral groups will be provided in order to allow the discussion on specific aspects of the programme and participation strategies in more detail. 

A minimum of 80 and a maximum of 120 participants are expected. The majority of them are researchers from the public and private sectors. Moreover, participants from SME’s, innovative entrepreneurs, policy-makers, policy-delivery representatives and media are invited and expected to come.  Kosovan researchers, both from the academia and from economic and business sector are invited to participate in the conference.
