The objective of this event is to inform Serbian R&D organisations and researchers about the opportunities offered by the newly launched 7th Framework Programme (FP7) for research and technological development in particular for collaborative activities and mobility of researchers.

Focus of the day will be on the Joint Research Centre (JRC), the European Commission's own research centre, which provides scientific and technological support for the EU policy-making process and assists the EU Candidate and Potential Candidate Countries, including Serbia, in their effort to deal with the scientific and technical bases of EU legislation. Examples will be presented in the areas of environment, food, agriculture, and nuclear safety and safeguards.

The intention is to encourage dialogue, identify potentially interested partners and pave the way for further collaboration within the 7th Framework Programme for research and technological development.
