News archive - Event Announcement: EU Finance Day for SMEs in Ljubljana

On March 28, 2008 the European Commission is organising this event to inform about the EU financial instruments for SMEs (eg. CIP, Eurostars, FP7).

The aim is to raise awareness about different sources of finance and provide a forum for sharing good practices in helping innovative SMEs get easier access to finance. One-day events will be organised in all Member State capitals in 2008-2009 (check on the website for information on the info days in the European capitals). The launching event will take place in Ljubljana at the Chamber of Commerce on March 28, 2008 under the auspices of the Slovenian Presidency.

Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.

The programme includes presentations on European Commission's SME policies and financial instruments of the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme and SMEsÂ’ participation in the Seventh Framework Programme and Eurostars programme. Futhermore information on the implementation of the new CIP financial instruments is given and the role of the new Enterprise Europe Network discussed.
