News archive - [Event Announcement] RESBOAT Conference on Renewable Energies
A five-day RES BOAT Conference Series will take place from March 23 to 27, 2009 aboard a boat (the RES BOAT) passing through five countries (Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia and Serbia) on the Danube river with the final event to be held in Belgrade in the geographic vicinity of Romania and Bulgaria.
The RES BOAT will bring together all European stakeholders to support knowledge-transfer in the filed of RES at European level and promote project results of FP7, FP6, IEE, SAVE II and ALTENER II programmes.
In addition, the voyage will also bring attention to the Southeast region of Europe and raise awareness on Renewable Energies in the countries where it will pass by organising “side events” in national languages.
Main topics of the conference are:
- Vienna: Renewable Electricity Technologies
- Bratislava: Polygeneration
- Budapest: Eco-Buildings
- Vukovar: Biofules and alternative motor fuels
- Belgrade: Renewable heating and cooling Technologies
Participants could be representatives from the academic, the industry and the political sector. Everybody who works with or is interested in successful projects, who wants to learn more about new technologies and potentials, or would like to get into contact with other experts, companies etcin the field of renewable energies may pre-register to participate.

Participation on individual dates is free of charge, however, there is a EUR 200 accomodation and catering fee for those who apply for the 5-day "Conference Tour".
