News archive - [Event Announcement] Scientific Diaspora and ICT

The Austrian Science and Research Liaison office together with the Center for eGovernance Development for SEE, the Regional Cooperation Council and the UNESCO Venice Office are organising a Workshop on "Scientific Diaspora and ICT- Potentials of Information and Communication Technologies for Utilisation of Human Capital of SEE Scientific Diasporas" in Sarajevo on June 10, 2009.

The workshop will be of an exploratory nature, looking at opportunities for joint project development in EU RTD Framework programmes and/or Official Development Aassistance funding schemes as well as for projects on national level with national (cross-sectoral) funding. In addition to these practical goals the workshop has the goal of laying the foundation for a (UNESCO, to be confirmed) publication on the issue of ICT and scientific diaspora in SEE which shall combine scientific analysis with hands-on experience and policy recommendations.
