News archive - [Event Announcement] The 4th International Seville Conference on Future-Oriented Technology Analysis (FTA)

The FTA is a major opportunity for anyone involved in the fields of strategic foresight, forecasting and technology assessment to meet international experts and help shape the debate. The topic this year centers around "FTA and Grand Societal Challenges – Shaping and Driving Structural and Systemic Transformations". The conference will be held on May 12-13, 2011 and will focus on the potential of FTA to address disruptive transformations in response to grand societal challenges.

The conference will do so by addressing the following themes:

  • Orienting innovation systems towards global challenges and the roles that FTA can play
  • Building FTA capacities for systemic and structural transformations
  • Premises and practices in combining quantitative and qualitative FTA methods

The conference will gather researchers, practitioners and decision makers from around the globe, with a rich programme of papers, posters and briefs.

There is no fee to participate in the conference. However, the conference can host a limited number of guests, therefore we recommend you to register as soon as possible, as places are available on a first come first served basis.
