The development of human resources of workers in science and research is one of the basic conditions for achieving the aims of the Lisbon strategy. The aim of the workshop is to create an international platform for exchanging know-how and experience in the area of the development of human resources in science and research.

Participation is open to managers, science and research workers, specialists in the field of education, academic workers and also students who are dealing with the issue of development and management of human resources in science and research.

Thematic areas of the workshop are:

• human resources in innovative companies;
• human resources in the academic and research area;
• development of human resources in the context of regional development;
• international cooperation in the field of development of human resources in science and research.

Important dates:

• by February 7, 2008 - registration of workshop papers
• by February 14, 2008 - confirmation of paper acceptance
• by March 31, 2008 - sending of presentations and papers for workshop proceedings
• by April 14, 2008 - registration of participants

Official language:
The official languages of the workshop are Czech, Slovak and English. Only papers written in one of these languages can be accepted.

The organisation of the workshop is fully financed in the frame of the project TRANSCEN which means that participation for all is free of charge.
