The NBR Business Incubator was established in 1998 in Gradačac. Today, the Business Incubator has premises in Modriča Municipality and it is one of
the biggest incubators in BiH and the Region (at least when it comes to space available to businesses – 8,250 m2). The incubator is registered as NGO and
participates actively in the BiH Incubators Network. NBR is currently implementing two EU funded cross-border cooperation projects with a challenging aim to further improve entrepreneurial infrastructure in the region.
The incubator was originally established to resolve high unemployment of local population. Currently there are 13 beneficiaries (SMEs) with around 250
employees. Nowadays, the NBR Business Incubator is moving its function from job creation (although, the high unemployment is still a big issue in the local
community) toward provision of sophisticated services that businesses need in order to develop, expand and export. Such services include the provision of
soft (funding and fund raising, advising, consulting, internationalization, business planning, and connection with scientific institutions etc.) and hard infrastructure to SMEs (currently focusing on development of business zones communities (advising, consulting, project cycle management, etc.) and
networks development organizations within the region.

The objectives of NBR Business Incubator are:
• To provide work space for businesses;
• To provide services simplifying the work of businesses and preparing them for open market; and
• To involve other development actors in incubation process (e.g. local communities, universities etc.).
