INTERFOB BH was founded in Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina) in July 2006. It is a non-profit, non-governmental development and consulting organization. Its activities involve project engineering, trainings /educational and consulting services in the field of wood technology, forestry, environmental protection, agriculture, light industry, energy efficiency and waste management. INTERFOB - Bosnia and Herzegovina is an official member of INTERFOB
association in Europe. INTERFOB (INTERnationale FOrmation du Bois) is international organization of forestry and wood technology in Europe, established in France in 1989.

The mission of INTERFOB is to stimulate development of wood industry, forestry and environmental protection, and to promote new technologies, exchange of information and to promote placement and competitiveness of SMEs.

The main activities of INTERFOB are:
• Promotion of wood industry, forestry and related areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
• Education of workforce in wood and light metal industry and development of SMEs;
• Consulting and project implementation in the field of wood industry, forestry, agriculture and other sectors;
• Establishing and implementing Wood technology centre in Banja Luka with four wood technology Laboratories in Technology business park Banja Luka
• Establishing and implementing Wood and Metal Technology Academy in Srbac
• Establishing and implementing Centre for Technical Support for Cluster Drvo Banja Luka
• Consulting service for ISO 9001; ISO 14001; FSC COC and CE sign
• Organization of seminars, trainings, workshops and other kinds of education;
• Publishing and distribution of "INTERFOB magazine" (first magazine in Bosnia and Herzegovina for wood industry, forestry, interior and ecology);
• Web portal for wood industry www.energowood.com
• Training of young engineers in wood industry and forestry;
• Establishing and exchange of cooperation with / between small and medium enterprises (SME), development agencies, expert institutions, government
institutions, consulting agencies and INTERFOB organizations in country and abroad;
• Consulting in the area of preparation and implementation of development and other projects;

• Activities in improvement of educational system and educational methods for deficit workforce and administration staff;
• Research and preparation of feasibility studies;
• Energy efficiency optimization within a process, building, or organization;
• Implementation and design of development projects in the area of wood industry, forestry, light industry and other sectors;
• Restitution of first wood technology laboratory in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
• Arrangement for visiting of fairs and companies in BiH and abroad;
• Promotion of MSC and PHD studies in Europe for domestic students.
