Mr Zdravko Spiric
Prof. Zdravko Spiric received his Ph.D in Technical Sciences, scientific field Chemical Engineering from University of Zagreb, Croatia. He received Certificate from Republic of Croatia - Ministry of energy, industry, mining and services: Licensed - certified manager for Chemical Engineering and Technological projects. Currently he is the scientific director of OIKON - Ltd. Institute for Applied Ecology, Zagreb, and Professor at Medical faculty Rijeka, Croatia. Since 1980. he is with INA at the R&D on the research of chemical processes in the oil and gas industry. He has experience in the petroleum industry and in the petrochemical research and process development, specializing in environmental technology (environmental protection- laboratory and field extensive industrial consulting practice). From 1988. he was responsible for the laboratory activities as well as for the environmental issues and was involved in the significant Croatian energetic and ecological Project Podravina. From 1995., and before joining Oikon d.o.o. – Institute for Applied Ecology 2004. he was Environmental protection Manager for the INA-Naftaplin. On the basis of the Article 92. Paragraph 2 Law on Scientific Activity and Higher Education (Official Gazette 123/03., 198/03., 105/04., 174/04. And 46/07.), and Article 45. Paragraph 1 Statute of the School of Medicine in Rijeka, University of Rijeka (Class: 003-05 / 05-01/04 dated 22 February 2005.), Faculty Council at its session held on 14 October 2009 adopted the Decision: Dr. sc. Zdravko Špirić, senior research associate, is elected in the academic title of Assistant professor, scientific and technical areas of science, the scientific field of chemical engineering, scientific branch of mechanical, thermal and separation processes, the Department of Environmental Medicine, The Medicine faculty in Rijeka, University of Rijeka. Lecturer on the Environmental and Health Safety at the Medical Faculty in Rijeka www.medri.hr and Environmental protection and sustainable development at VERN' - University of Applied Sciences in Zagreb www.vern.hr He's Senior Research Associate in technical sciences, field chemical engineering - Academic Council of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology - University of Zagreb (2011) He is author and co-author of more than 300 technical and scientific papers and studies published in many of local and world scientific journals and publications, as well as of several innovations, studies, handbooks for professional training, and instructions for work in a secure way. His scope of work and research activities comprises the areas of health&environmental protection and sustainable development.
