News archive - [Call for Applications] Applications for CBB Innovation Bursaries Currently open!

Calling all EC funded researchers & projects working across the Bioeconomy. Here’s your chance to apply for one of the CommBeBiz Innovation Bursaries to support your research journey to social, commercial and/or policy innovation.

Each Innovation Bursary will give you the opportunity to:

  • Attend an Academy* event in Paris during the EBN Congress (04-07 July 2017)
  • Attend an Academy event in Prague (15 November 2017) preceded by a CommBeBiz communication session.
  • Attend a Final Academy session at CommBeBiz Final Meeting in early 2018 (date and place to be confirmed)
  • Access at the Academies to EBN business coaches & mentors
  • One-to-one mentor support at events
  • Peer-to-peer networking and securing connections
  • Exposure to tools & trends regarding the challenges & opportunities of commercial, social & policy innovation
  • Promotion via CBB’s own web platform, publications and social media
  • Connections with journalists writing regularly about Bioeconomy topics across Europe utilising CBB’s own Media Panel
  • Ability to use the CBB Innovation Bursary logo across all their own media
  • Creation of a CBB Project Brief for each project (co-owned by CBB & project – so project is free to use)

*The Academies are tailored events where bursary holders will hear about tools and trends from the EBN business coaches on how to improve their TRL/ideas towards the commercialisation, policy and social innovation. They will also enjoy peer-to-peer networking activities (such as world café type of activities), one-to-one short sessions and pitching trails.

Applications are now open - Next closing dates 26th June 2017 and 23rd October 2017. Complete the application form today!

But first – make sure you are registered on the CBB web platform and have completed all the details about yourself and your project. Your application cannot proceed until this is done.

The type of innovation should fall into the following categories:

  • social
  • commercial
  • technological
  • policy (if complementary to one of the above-mentioned categories)
